Making chocolates at my Gpa's!

My sister Nick and I have started a holiday tradition of going over to my grandpa Bert's house and making turtles, chocolate covered caramels, fudge and cookies! This is the second year we've done it! It is a lot of fun to catch up with my gpa and learn new tricks in the kitchen from him! Best tradition we've ever started and I hope we continue it for many years to come!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

I only get to say that once a year! and it always comes and goes by so fast! Birthdays really havent been special for me since age like 12. I never have bday parties because nobodys around on my bday. I'd love to have a huge party and celebrate me getting a year older! and all of the accomplishments I made during the year! But when it comes time to planning the party and actually going I get nervous, and I dont like to be the center of attention! Well in my mind I do but in reality, not so much! So I have this huge want for an awesome party but then again Im good without a huge party. Does anyone else feel the same way?

On my birthday this year I went to lunch with my sister, nick and Aaron!! We ate at Panera bread. I had a really yummy bbq chicken salad! After we went to Aarons house and played my sisters bday present to me, Killer Bunnies! It was fun to sit and chat and try and get carrots and kill bunnies! We played Killer bunnies all the way up until it was time to go to dinner!

Around 4:30 we left Aarons and went to the Melting Pot for dinner with my dad, Step mom, step brother, Katelyn and Nick!










The food was AMAZING!!! It took us 3 hours to eat it all! It was hard to walk afterward! SO MUCH FOOD! it was worth every bite! SO YUMMY!!! can you tell I loved it?! the chocolate fondue was my favorite!

After dinner we headed home! Once we got to my moms house Katelyn and Nick came in and hung out for a little while! when they tried to drive back to my dads house the Van wouldnt start! the lights were left on :( they needed to jump start it! AND of course none of us have jumper cables! SOOOO i called up my guy and he came to the rescue and jumped the van! After Nick and Katelyn went back to my dads house, I spent the rest of my bday talking to Aaron outside by his car!!
Overall not the best bday but not the worst either! it was fun to hang out with my sister and Nick as well as Aaron of course!! I ate some amazing food!! And got a few awesome gifts!!

My Grandma

For thanksgiving I got to go to Texas with my Grandma, Grandpa, and Clyde! We went to see my sister and her husband, in San Antonio! During our time in Texas I grew such respect for my Grandma! She is a hard working lady! She is the cutest little thing and she does soo MUCH for my Grandpa and Clyde. She does everything she can to be a good wife and mom! And you never hear a peep out of her, she never complains, and she never asks for anything. She is amazing! I just think of all the things she has had to sacrafice raising Clyde. But yet I've never seen her struggle or break down. She is a strong woman! She is getting older now and its harder for her to move around, hear, smell and remember things, but that never stops her from taking care of her family. She cooks every meal cleans the house and loves to do cross word puzzles! I hope that I one day can be like her and do all I can to take care of my family!

Puppies

Things I've learned about raising Australian Shepards!
They are very clingy, they like to be as close to you as often as they can!
They have an enourmous amount of energy! They can run and play for HOURS!
They are very curious and always want to know what your doing.
They are SMART! they know what your saying and choose whether they want to do it or not.
They are VERY PROTECTIVE. Great watch dogs, but you cant turn the watch dog part off and sometimes you get more protection than you asked for.
They can be very aggresive towards other dogs, and like to gang up on other packs.
They are good runners, jumpers, listeners, and companions!
Its been a lot of work having two dogs, let alone two Austrailian Shepards! But there just so darn cute! its hard to not Love them!

So Im heading off to Texas tomorrow! I'm bringing my camera so I had to empty my sim card and in doing so I found a few fun pics from my last trip to NYC!! So I thought I put some up!

One of the last things that I really wanted to do before I left NYC for a while was walk around Central Park! So my dad and I got up at like 6am and it took about an hour and a half to walk the short way around the park!
While we were in the park dad tripped and became part of a crime scene!





This is one of my favorite places in Central Park! The view is amazing! And the really old Castle is really cool!

Getting Ready!

So I'm starting to get ready for Rexburg!!
I've got a new windshield on my Explorer! I got a new battery as well!
I'm registering for classes today! My classes for this first semester of my new adventure is Ceramics, Head drawing, Art History 2, History of Egyptian art, Art Seminar, and Book of Mormon 1.
I went on Rate my professor.com and looked up all of my teachers and they all got good to excellent ratings! So I'm hoping I'm in for a great semester of stressful hardworking fun!!
It's going to be a lot of work! But I'm hoping that I'll have fun freezing in Rexburg!!
Its going to be such a different adventure than living in NYC! Moving to New York City was something I dreamed about for a long time! and it happened! it was amazing! I struggled and succeeded in such different ways that I would have never imagined!! I love the City!! Living in Rexburg was definitely not on my to do list and i never imagined myself being there. But here I am sacrificing the city for a cheaper school, a different degree and hopefully I'll make some really great friends while there!!
Well see how it goes!! Ill keep you all updated! at the moment I'm just getting ready to go!

NIKE HUMAN RACE!!

So this year for the Nike Human Race I got to experience it in Portland, Or. Unfortunately I was unable to run in the race this year but I still got a free T-shirt and went and supported my dad and step brother.
The race was held at the Nike store in downtown Portland! and after the race they held a raffle where I won an IPOD NANO!!! I was so surprised! it was a great morning!! And a nice second year to a new tradition to do the race where ever I end up being every year!!

Braces are OFF!!

I finally got my braces off! it is the last time i will ever have to have them in my life!!
